The miracles of a quick meditation – right before an important event

The above step taught you how to do it.

Now let’s extend this practice and understand how exactly will it help you during a crisis.

Let’s say you have an interview lined up, or a sales call, or a review and you are naturally feeling anxious.

Your heart is racing.

Your adrenaline is high.

You are feeling like going to the loo.

Your throat is choking.

And your mouth is dry.

Your stomach syncs.

Those with high anxiety may also shiver tremendously with teeth chattering as an extreme situation.

Your entire focus is on the source of the stress & you just can’t relax or divert your mind.

Why is this happening?

This is your body’s natural response to respond to stress.

Adrenaline rush to fight or flee.

Throat choking as your blood is thickening, so if you get bitten, you won’t bleed to death.

The mouth goes dry because your body is now acidic, so you won’t taste as good and can be spared.

You need a loo break because your bowels want to evacuate, so you are lighter & can run faster.

Your stomach syncs because your digestion is shut down. If you are going to be eaten alive, you don’t need digestion, you need all hands on deck to fight or flee.
